About the workTools in a museum? Hans-Peter Feldmann elevates everyday life to art. He often used everyday utensils for his objects, such as this sculpture in the shape of a house, which is made from pieces of yellow folding rules. Folding rules are typically used by tradespeople to measure lengths. The construction of the model building also refers to this industry. Feldmann’s sculpture humorously breaks with the conventional rules of the art world. The Düsseldorf artist thus questioned the seriousness of how museums present artworks – but also the "masterful" skill of the artist.
