About the workMirrors reflect back the image that is presented to them. They themselves are impersonal, so to speak. The works by the Düsseldorf artist Ursula Ott are reduced to a circle, the simplest form, and their characteristics such as relief and colour remain undefined. The colours change according to the ambient light, the position of the viewer and the reflections of other objects. The appearance of this artwork depends on what is brought towards its exterior. Ursula Ott studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy in the late 1980s, where she was a master student of Gerhard Richter.
