About the workThere is a matching model drawing for this bowl with a list of different colour variants. This is probably “polvere giallo anima chiaro”, “yellow powder with a clear soul”. This refers to the glass mass in the centre of the bowl, which shimmers like an opal and fused over a long period of time, forming large bubbles. Because of this process, the glassworks called the glass „vetro vulcano“, volcanic glass. The bowl was created during the heyday of the glassworks.
