About the workEllsworth Kelly’s art is characterised by its reduced visual language and stands out due to the clarity of its geometric forms. The outlines originate from his observations of the environment. The American artist created these prints for two editions of the artist's edition “Derrière le miroir”, in which works by contemporary artists were published between 1946 and 1982. This gave a wide audience affordable access to originals. The embedding in the magazine format allows individual graphics to enter into a direct dialogue with each other on double pages.
