not on displayWith a playful attention to detail and aesthetics, the German-Italian architect and designer Richard Sapper developed this kettle as a half-sphere that tapers off into a cylindrical shape. This forms a two-part brass flute which produces a chord as soon as the water boils. Sapper created the kettle for the Italian company Alessi. It was his first collaboration with the kitchen appliance and interior design manufacturer, which was followed by others in the 1980s and 1990s.
