The chair of the same name was part of the furnishings in the new organic style, which involved experimenting with plywood and birch wood native to Finland. Their concept for elegant yet functional architecture and furniture was based on bringing buildings into harmony with their environments and materials – an approach that is in line with contemporary ideas about eco-friendly construction.
