About the workMost of these things are touched and used daily: the alarm clock in the morning, the toothbrush in the bathroom or the tea infuser at breakfast. Hans-Peter Feldmann collected such objects and exhibited them in surprising combinations in museum display cases – for example, an eyelash curler next to Tic Tacs and a pistol. Through their presentation and preservation, the objects lose their original function and take on a new meaning. Feldmann not only plays with our view of everyday objects, but also raises the question of when an object becomes art.
