About the work“Alabastron” is the name given to an elongated perfume vessel with a flat mouth that enabled fragrance and anointing oils to be applied with a finger. Instead of a base, these vessels have eyelets that could be threaded with strings and hung up. White alabastra are rarer than those made of dark blue glass, which was easier to produce.
