About the workThe colourless glass overlay, which is clearly visible on the handle, smoothes and polishes the underlying frothy glass mass, which is structured by inclusions. Ercole Barovier thus sets himself apart from the model of the sculptor Napoleone Martinuzzi, who introduced a frothy glass—“pulegoso“—at the Venini glassworks around 1927.
