About the workThis vase is somewhat reminiscent of 18th century porcelain work. However, it is slimmer than these and thus corresponds to the proportions that were popular in the 1920s. In 1919, the Pauly trading company merged with the Venice and Murano Glass Company owned by the entrepreneur Antonio Salviati and acted as a publisher for glass products from Murano: it commissioned works from the glassworks based on its own designs.
