About the workAt first glance, the sitting posture of the undressed man appears rather casual. If you look more closely, you realize that the unknown draughtsman has struggled to depict the nude model leaning to one side. Specifically, there are some inaccuracies in terms of perspective in the drawing. Was the artist practicing the depiction of twisting bodies and placing them in relation to one another? There is a further study on the reverse of the sheet, where tottering figures can be seen.
