not on displaySculptural and yet simply practical – this style characterised the work of Danish designer Nanna Ditzel. Inspired by the birth of her daughters in the early 1950s, she created a range of wooden children's furniture, including this highchair with adjustable footrests and a flexible front handlebar, which was awarded the Scandinavian Lunning Design Prize in 1956. At the end of the 1960s, Ditzel moved to London with her second husband, where together they founded the international furniture store "Interspace" – a meeting place and exhibition centre for new design from all over the world.
