About the workHow can I get the best from myself, how can I become even more efficient? This reportage-like photo-text work was based on research conducted by Sven Johne in 2018 on the world’s most sought-after motivational coaches. By compiling their portraits and central messages, the Berlin-based artist points out the impact of topics such as self-optimisation and the search for personal happiness in a capitalist society. The ironic title alludes to the former award in the GDR, which honoured services to socialism.
