About the workJulia Bünnagel, studied at the Art Academy with Prof. Anthony Cragg and Prof. Hubert Kiecol, and works as a sculptor, performance and installation artist. She is also a member of the artist collective "Sculptress of Sound", which has been performing sound performances since 2011. Her work "The Becoming" from 2020/21 is a light and sound installation: three mirror-smooth LPs are played on record players and emit a crackling noise into the space. Lamps reflect the light and project the spinning reflections onto the walls. With light and sound, Bünnagel impressively shapes the architecture of the room - and produces a sculptural soundscape all of its own.
