"This is supposed to be art? I could do that!

For me, there was no other choice – the Trashstone represents my own journey with art. After all, I went from being a failing student who thought art was really stupid to a huge art fan and collector:

At first, negativity: a shapeless lump with flecks of colour, what’s the point of it? Anyone could do that!

Then curiosity: Is there really rubbish inside? How was it made?

Interest: Why? What kind of artist is this? What do his other works look like?

Enthusiasm, appreciation and love: Beautiful, mysterious, unique, very elaborately made, a time capsule, funny, important, intelligent, bold, valuable …"
